Are there any problems with the Lexus IS 220?
Most common fault with the engine is head gasket problems, and Lexus replaced the engines…hence why Lexus no longer has diesel cars in its range. Also suffer from 5th injector issues. Has the mileage been checked as genuine and not clocked. I have spoken at length with a person in England who had 2 Lexus IS 220 cars from new.

Why are my is220d heaters not working?
the heaters aren’t heating up until well into a journey when the engine is warm and the car is over 2000rpm, the engine temperature gauge is around half way but then will suddendly clime to high in the red and then the heaters work and the gauge drops to just over half and back up to high intermittently please tell me there is an easy fix!!!!!
Why does my Lexus 220D sport go into limp mode?
A few months back the car used to go into limp mode because the DPF was blocked and had to be forced regenerated. No warning lights are showed on the dashboard and no error codes are generated when connecting the diagnostic tool. The EGR valve had to be cleaned as it was full of black carbon and the lambda sensor has been replaced as well.

Is the Lexus 220D sport high pressure diesel pump working?
The EGR valve had to be cleaned as it was full of black carbon and the lambda sensor has been replaced as well. The 5th injector that helps with the DPF regeneration has been replaced as well. The high pressure diesel pump has been checked and is in good working order. The car is from 2007 and has 106000 on the clock.
