Are there any problems with the Kia Rio clutch?

Was awful and had endless problems, including no bite point feel on the clutch which made hill starts awkward – but the clutch was just that way. It wasn’t a fault, and by time I sold the car I had done about the 70k mark. Clutch still fine. I’d not even think about possible problems though. Just enjoy the car, and have fun driving it 1.25 ‘2’.

Why does my Kia Rio squeal in reverse?

1.25 ‘2’. I’ve had clutch judder and a nasty grouchy/squeal in reverse when the car has been stood for a few days in wet and cold.It goes after a few miles, so at every service, the dealer has never heard anything. I suspect clutch release bearing.

How long does it take to get through a clutch in a Kia?

If you ‘ride’ the clutch a lot of the time, (that is, you keep your foot on the clutch pedal, slightly depressing it), you can very quickly get through a clutch, easily within 10k miles, although if this is the cause of a clutch problem this should be obvious when the old clutch is removed and should be shown to you as proof.

What was the last car with a clutch?

Last car was a VW Polo (2002) Had it from new. Was awful and had endless problems, including no bite point feel on the clutch which made hill starts awkward – but the clutch was just that way. It wasn’t a fault, and by time I sold the car I had done about the 70k mark.
