Why does my ATV run for a few minutes then stall?
As the engine heats up the coil looses its resistance and fails to deliver the charge needed to start the engine. Without bombarding you with technical numbers or making you buy testing equipment, I would simply run the ATV until it dies and pull the plug.
Why does my son’s 95 Chevy S-10 quit running?
My son’s has a 95 S-10. Was running great, until one day a couple of months ago, it started running really rough at a red light ( as he tells me ) and he had to work the throttle to keep it running and then about a block or two later it quit and hardly would start. What to do when your motor dies after running for 5 minutes or so?
On some bad coils, the machine gets great spark until it warms up and then the coil goes out until the engine has time to cool down. Fire it up and as soon as it dies, pull the plug and check for spark. If you don’t have any, you will probably have to replace the primary coil.
What to do if your transmission fluid is low?
If the fluid is low, dark in color, or has a rancid smell, the vehicle should be taken to a service shop immediately. If the transmission fluid has gotten to this point, don’t assume a fluid flush will solve the problem, it could actually do more harm than good.
