Interior design is also acceptable. …. BUT I ve some issues with its Electrical systems. This montero specially 2001 and upper models. The center locking system light turns on after 15 mins of driving, it does not effect on anything but annoying. The Fuel gauge sometimes works sometimes don’t.

I bought this 2002 Montero with 112k miles on the clock and it works great. Exterior styling is excellent as well as the interior. I simply don’t agree with the people who say that this is underpowered. It’s 3.5 L V6 provides adequate power off the blocks and accelerating and I had no trouble overtaking. It’s maximum speed is about 105-110 mph.

Ive never really been a Mitsubishi guy. But after having one of these, I have to say it drives better than any SUV newer or older than I ever had. Even on ice, it does considerably better than my: 2009 Super duty, 2003 Trailblazer, or my wifes 2013 Chevy Equinox. This is my 4th Montero (1996, 1998, 2001 and this 2003 Montero).
