Probably Not — And Here’s Why. When using a color on a website or app, you might think about HEX codes and RGB(A) values. You try to perfectly match the colors originally used in the design. Your designer might give you a roundhouse-kick if they don’t.
How can I find out the color code of my Paint?
Once we know the color code, we can make the paint. We ask for the VIN to help us match your paint. However, the VIN does not give us your color code! It only gives us any paint formula variance in an existing color code. Make sure you have found the color code on your vehicle.
What does BC stand for in paint code?
Often there will be a BC CC before the color code. This stands for Basecoat/Clearcoat. The U in the paint code means the Upper Color and the L means the Lower Color. Two tone vehicles will have each color coded, i.e. 96U and say 36L.
Can a vin help you find your color code?

Is there a color code for interior paint?

Do you have to use color code for pipe markings?
The ANSI/ASME standard recommends using label colors in the above ways. When using pipe markings, a facility must choose to either buy generic pipe markings, special order custom pipe markings, or obtain blank pipe markings that can be printed on using an industrial label maker. Each of these options can be effective.

Where do I find the color code on my car?
Here are the places to look, with the most likely locations listed first. Look for a sticker in any of these locations: Simply open the driver’s side door and look at the door jam section toward the bottom, on the door itself. From the outside of your vehicle, look on the bottom right of the driver’s side.
