Hold these buttons down for about five to 10 seconds, or until the LED lights on both buttons start flashing. Wait 45 to 60 seconds for the LED lights to stop flashing. Then turn off the car.

Why does the EC light stay on all the time?
The EC light stayed on all the time. I replace the evap temp sensor and reg temp sensor, thanks to sleepwalker’s help. Then I recharged the system with freon and 46 PAG oil. By the way you must get the compressor to come on to charge the AC if your’s won’t come on, then hold down EC and Rest until the EC light goes off, the compressor will kick on.
If all shows fine, I would say that the TRRS (Transmission Range Recognition Shifter module) is OK in the shifter, but the R/P lock solenoid is not working (either a mechanical issue, or the TRRS module is not receiving a signal from the brake switch to release the solenoid when brake pedal is pressed).
Why is my gear shift stuck in Park?
And it’s a real simple problem: my shifter is stuck in park. I have to stick a pen into the shift lock override to get it to shift into gear. BUT, that is the only symptom I have.
