Why is my standing fan making noise?
A problem common to both types of fans is excessive noise. Accumulated dirt can cause noise because it can unbalance fan blades and wear out bearings. If rattling persists, disassemble the fan and check for loose internal fasteners. Newer fan blades are usually made of plastic, older ones of metal.

What kind of noise does a Honda Civic make?
For those who may not know, it almost sounds like a high-pitched, electrical humming (think back to the old Gateway 2000 computers that had a loud fan buzzing sound as they got older). It is obnoxiously loud at the lowest setting, though you can hear it throughout the spectrum of fan levels, especially if you listen in the passenger footwell area.
Why does my AC Heat fan make a clicking noise?
If your interior AC/ Heat fan (blower motor) is making noise like a card in a bicycle spoke, then you probably just need to clean out the blower motor which is easy and free. Leaves and debris gets in the blower motor and make a clicking noise when the fan hits the leaves.
Is the blower motor noise a problem?
For me it is not a problem per se, it is only that the fan is noisy, not defective just more intrusive than other cars. It sounds as it is running properly and evenly, just nosiy Lower speed, first notch is actually noisier than a few higher.
