Why is my motorcycle ABS light on?

How do you know ABS is working?
When ABS is working properly, the driver may feel the brake pedal suddenly drop, followed by a rapid pulsing sensation. There may be a grinding or buzzing noise coming from the vehicle during the period ABS is activated. It may also feel like the brake pedal is pushing back when ABS activates.

How do you get the error code on a Goldwing?
Put in neutral and put side stand down, RPM’s below 1500. This signals the ECM to send the error code to the FI light. Count the number of long and short flashes. This will give you the error code. If you shut the bike off the error code is lost – sort of. It will be retained in the ECM but it is harder to get out.
