Why is my drivers side door not working?
After i replaced the door panel the controls for the windows, door locks are not working. Im thinking I did not connect the electrical wiring back properly. I currently not able to access the Vehicle.
Why is my car door not opening from the outside?
The Cable from the exterior door handle is still not releasing the latch. The cable moves freely when engaged. The Cable is leads into a whole mode which I can not access with out breaking the outside housing. I’ve gotten this far.
Why is the driver’s door on my Malibu not opening?
Same thing happened to my fathers ’10 Malibu. The door may eventually open if you play with it enough. Cycle the locks, lock, unlock a few times then try the door from either side. Door panel should come off with the door shut but you still have to open the door to replace the latch.
Can you unlock the front driver’s door with a fob?
We could unlock the front driver’s door with her key (or the fob), but pulling on the outside handle was not triggering the latch mechanism. The fob was not unlocking any other doors (i’m not even sure if it’s supposed to?). And, of course, there’s no “manual” key lock on the passenger side.
Why is my front passenger window not working?
Following the battery being replaced, the driver switches commanding all 4 windows failed to control the front passenger window. Upon reaching across the passenger seat, I found the passenger door switch still was able to command the window down.
What to do if your side door won’t lock?
I had the same problem and fixed it by resetting the lock. Turn the ignition key to one notch before start position. press unlock button on center console three times. Hold down and try lock. Door should unlock. If this doesn’t work you should look on the internet for instructions.
Can a remote lock the driver side door?
This morning, wife took the car out and called me telling me that she cannot lock the driver side of door with the remote, even insert the key in the key hole won’t lock/unlock the door, she was able to lock/unlock the rest 3 doors fine with the remote.
