Why is my coolant temp gauge not working?
The coolant temp gauge gets its input from the BCM and the AC gets told to do its thing there as well. You could have anything from a dirty connector (“fretting”) to a failed BCM.
What should I do if my gas gauge stops working?
Gas gauge, almost empty. Water temp, cold. No oil pressure. The alt wasn’t charging. No tac and no speedometer. The Lights work fine, The odometer is still rollin over, cruise control works, Gear selection indicator read out works fine.. Any ideas?
Why are all the gauges on my GM Truck not working?
Last night I was comin home from the store and realized my speedometer wasn’t working (ins’t the first time) so i hit the dash, then realized NONE of the gauges were working.. Gas gauge, almost empty. Water temp, cold. No oil pressure. The alt wasn’t charging. No tac and no speedometer.
Are there Trans temp gauges on GM trucks?
If you were to get a Escalade Dash Cluster, which has the Transmission Temp gauge. The only item that needs to be done, is to have the Mileage programmed into the Escalade Cluster……the 99′ and up NBS Siverado’s/Sierra’s Were-n-Are Already Pre-Wired from the Factory for the Trans Temp Gauge.
How can I tell if my blower motor is failing?
On all systems, a failed blower motor is least likely. Blower motors generally don’t fail out of the clear blue. In most cases, they start to fail by making a high pitched squeal or screeching noise that indicates the bearing is failing.
The coolant temp gauge gets its input from the BCM and the AC gets told to do its thing there as well. You could have anything from a dirty connector (“fretting”) to a failed BCM.
When to troubleshoot a gas fireplace blower motor?
The blower is typically wired to the thermostat to activate when the fire reaches a certain temperature. If the blower motor is not working properly, try troubleshooting the equipment to check for common problems.
What causes a leaf blower to not start?
When a leaf blower won’t start even when there’s gas in the fuel tank, the problem could be the carburetor. The step-by-step repair guide explains how to rebuild a leaf blower carburetor. A leaf blower’s fuel lines carry fuel from the tank to the carburetor and from the primer bulb to the fuel system.
Why does my AC gauge drop to cold?
That could cause the gauge to drop to cold since the IP gets its data from the BCM which gets it from the ECM. The ECT isn’t directly part of the A/C control logic since it only feeds the ECM.
What to do when your car a / C stops working?
Temperature gauge drops to 100 and A/C stops blowing cold air. I can do battery rest and it works again for a short time. I have changed the engine coolant sensor and the ECM and engine temperature sensor.
What happens to the temperature gauge when the engine warms up?
The gauge’s indicator shows this by remaining at the low end of the reading range. As engine coolant warms up, the sending unit’s resistance decreases accordingly, and the gauge’s indicator begins to rise. It’ll remain at around the middle of the reading scale, if the engine stays at operating temperature.
That could cause the gauge to drop to cold since the IP gets its data from the BCM which gets it from the ECM. The ECT isn’t directly part of the A/C control logic since it only feeds the ECM.
Why is the AC off but the temp is on?
Temp gauge is on cold, but the A/C off due to high engine temp gauge is on cold, but the A/C off due to high engine temp, yet not hot when I check engine. read more Gregg Lathem
Temperature gauge drops to 100 and A/C stops blowing cold air. I can do battery rest and it works again for a short time. I have changed the engine coolant sensor and the ECM and engine temperature sensor.
Why is my ambient air sensor not working?
The BCM provides the voltage source for the ambient air sensor so low system voltage would affect its accuracy as well. The SM clearly shows the ambient air sensor is involved in the compressor control logic. The OP also mentioned some other weird things happening which can be attributed to low system voltage.
