Why does my Volvo S60 Jerk when I step on the gas?
Problem first started with hard downshift from 2nd to 1st. Now it jerks hard when accelerating,usually at 20 mph. Its like the car hesitates and then jerks as I am stepping on the gas. It is more prevelant in stop and go traffic.

I have encountered a problem with my 2002 Volvo S60. The transmission seems to be slipping in the gears at lower speeds and then lurches or jerks when it catches. Don’t know the solution yet. Need to take it into the shop later today. My S60 T5 started jerking when decreasing speed or coasting to slow for a turn or light, around 1200-1000 RPMs.
