Hi I’m new to this site so here goes ..Can anyone give me some advise on my Renault grand scenic 1.5dci 56 plate 60,000 miles..I’m getting a whistle noise coming from the engine when I accelerate up the gears.

Where does the whirring noise come from in a Renault Clio?
The sound appears to come from the rear of the engine just off to the left and is really irritating, but doesn’t seem to affect the performance of the car. The car is a Renault Clio Dymanique 1.2 16v with 61,000 miles on the clock. If anyone has any idea what this could be I’d appreciate suggestions.
