Why does my Nissan Titan 4 wheel drive not lock?
When I shift the knob the front diff lights flash and will not lock no matter what configuration I do with the knob and transmission. I checked the transmission fluid and it is up, I also have the abs light and the slip light lit and will not go off.

Yes, this could be your issue. it aids in the speedometer and powertrain control module . if the power train control is not senseing any movement from that wheel it could keep it from engaging the four wheeel drive to avoid possibly burning out the transfer case. Definatley something to check.

(Yes, you didnt press the button, but your model automatically engages diff lock in 4lo) So dont engage 4lo on hard surfaces. Try reversing a couple feet. This may free up the diff so that the lock can disengage. If this does not work, find a large patch of grass or gravel. Turn the steering to full lock (left or right, doesnt matter) and pull off.
