Why does my Mercedes C220 go into limp home mode?
Its a mercedes c class c220 cdi 2002 automatic UK model 98,000 miles and the problem is that it keeps going into limp home mode and nothing shows up on my dash board. It does it quite a bit mainly when I accelerate fairly hard. and then it wont go above 3000rpm.

To the OP, I had the same issue with my C204 c220, turned out to be the DPF pressure sensor. Clear the fault and it would appear back again. Replaced the sensor for an OEM one plus labour cost me £90.
