Why does my Jeep have vibration at idle?
I have a 2014 Overland 5.7 that at around 40K miles developed a vibration at idle. Felt it primarily through the seat. Was fixed by replacing the motor mounts which I was told are fluid filled and can leak. The vibration was only at idle and went away upon acceleration and at normal road speeds.

So after work today I went on some spirited driving and and finally hit the sweet spot of that Damn 70 mph vibration and surprise the vibration is all gone. I also did some nice rips up to 130 mph and my rig is solid and driving like it never did before.

I’ve got a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 v8 that has suddenly developed a problem that makes the Jeep idle rough and run bad like it is missing or starved of fuel or something. On a cold start, where the car has been sat for some time the car will crank and start straight away without any problem. It will rev up on start and settle down as normal.

What kind of vibrations does a Jeep Grand Cherokee have?
Love the Jeep Hate the Vibrations. The low pitched rumbling and vibrations startsat 70 mph, worst at 75mmph, gone by 80mph. Definitely worse when going uphill, when they can start at 60 – 65. The dealer replaced the driveshaft — no change at all. I have a Laredo and I think the wheels are aluminum. Any other ideas?

Is the drive shaft on a Jeep Grand Cherokee bad?
I test drove a 2006 dodge charger brand new and the drive shaft was bad it had the same vibration. The guys at the shop could not believe it. I live in Canada but have the same problem with a 2005 Grand Cherokee. Have had drive shaft replaced, wheels balances, tranny rebuilt and various other tests.
