Why does my Intelligent Key Light not work?
Intelligent key light would come on but the car wouldn’t start or do anything, but the lock/unlock feature would still work. After a short diagnosis, the tech informed me it was the steering lock motor, which is more common than people think…it malfunctioned in the off/lock position.

Why is my smart key not working on my car?
Before reconnecting the battery again, make sure the keyfob is inside the car. The ECU apparently only attempts to reprogram the remote functions on a cold boot and if the key fob is not within range, it won’t work. Both of my remotes were dead and I did this on each one – one at a time.
