Why does my door lock spin?
The reason your key is turning all the way around is because the little piece that transmits turning power from your hand to the deadbolt (actuator) has broken or become detached. The only way to fix the problem is to remove the lock/ locking mechanism from the door.
Why is my door lock hard?

How do you open a lock without knowing the code?
Pull up gently on the shackle and hold it in place. Turn the dial clockwise listening carefully until you hear the lock click. Start with a good deal of pressure and gently let up as you spin it around, until you meet resistance in only one place. If the dial catches every few numbers, you are pulling too hard.

Check with your dealer….there should be a service bulletin on the door locks. my passenger side door wont accept the key , but its because somebody jimmied it with a screw driver trying to break in. instead of replacing it i bought a keyless entry, the drivers side and trunk still work fine.
