Why does my bike not Rev at 1300 rpm?

Why does my bike not Rev at 1300 rpm?

Its a head scratcher for sure! On my bike, if I block the fly-weights so that the ignition is fixed at fully retarded, I can still rev the engine to as high as 2500 rpm. Since you cannot go above 1300 rpm, that rules out your TCI ignition not advancing, as a cause of your problem. This points to the carbs as likely suspects.

Why does my bike Rev when I release the throttle?

It sounds like the carb slide or cable is sticking IMO,as said above. Its so strange because when I release the throttle it just goes back into place, I also tryed usng the throttle cable on other bike. I also adjusted the throttle wire tension barrel thing and put it all the way down (least tightest).

What causes a motorcycle engine to change rpm?

WD40 is a combustible item. Upon contact with a vaccum leak, it will be sucked in and the engine will change RPMs (noticeably). That general area WILL be your vaccum leak. I’ve done it 100 times over, ranging from my truck to my bikes, it works every time.

Why is my bike engine bogging under acceleration?

If the bike does not idle smoothly or takes a long time to settle back down to idle speed, and you’ve already cleaned the carburetor, you may have an airleak. Airleaks can be caused by a bad seal in the engine, or in the intake/carburetor joints.
