Why does my 2010 CX9 battery keep draining?
Many 2010 CX9s have this issue (due to the new two-settings warmer). The seat warmer is draining battery even though it is off. Find the fuse for it and pull it out. Call the dealer. They should have the fix already in house for that. It will happen again if you don’t take action. 2009 and prior models have no such issue. Thanks.
Is there a recall on the Mazda CX-9?
Summary: MAZDA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 CX-9 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRICALLY HEATED FRONT SEATS. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY UNDER EXTREMELY COLD CONDITIONS FOR THE SEAT HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT TO OVERHEAT AND FAIL DUE TO INSUFFICIENT ELECTRICAL GROUNDING.
Why does my 2010 CX-9 not have a seat warmer?
The seat warmer issue with the 2010 CX-9s will happen no matter whether is left outside or garaged. It also starts at no apparent time frame. Open you glove box and remove the rear access lid on the glove box to expose your fuse panel.
How often should you change the battery in a Mazda CX-9?
We recommend changing the battery in Mazdas every 4 years. Although some batteries last much longer, most batteries begin breaking down chemically after four years, so you could experience dimmer headlights and other negative effects before you have a dead battery in your CX-9 that you need to replace.
Can a Mazda 3 have a dead battery?
Mazda’s are not known for battery problems. With that said, chances are either your new battery is not fully charged or it is a dud. It is most likely not fully charged. I suggest that you get it fully charged. As for the jumper, that is always a nice accessory to own regardless of which car you drive.
