Why do I leave a wet patch on the seat?
I’ve recently started having this problem where when I’m sat down for prolonged amounts of time as soon as I get up off the seat I notice I have left a wet patch on the seat (this only happens on plastic seats). I haven’t wet myself, however I do believe it happens as I seem to sweat a lot more, and it may be persperation from my legs.
What does it mean if your rear seat is wet?
Thanks in advance. If your rear seat is wet and you’ve got water in the spare wheel well too, it sounds like water may be coming in around the rear roof area to affect both the seat and the boot area. Is your roof lining in the rear of the car showing signs of dampness or water staining?
Why is the rear passenger floor wet and damp?
Rear passenger floor SOAKED and front slightly damp!? This has been driving me crazy lately, initially we found the front passenger floor wet over a year ago this was caused by the pollen filter housing and that was an easy fix. However nearly 3 months ago I found a small patch of water right in the centre of the passenger floor.
What to do about wet spots on your seat?
Just sit on the very edge of your seat for a few minutes before you plan to get up, to let it evaporate. There’s not much you can do about it really, it’s just sweat condensation. Rep: ?

Why do I have damp patches on my walls?
Damp patches Damp patches on walls are generally the result of penetrating damp, where water from outside gets into the brickwork through gaps and cracks. If the patches are clustered around windows and doors, then it’s likely that rain is getting in through gaps around the frames.
What to do if your back seat gets soaked?
Take the back seat out and steam clean if they are cloth. Put them in a small room with a dehumidifier and a heater/fan blowing on them (not too close or the heater could damage them). Make sure they dry out all the way. If you can, elevate the seat on sawhorses or boxes or something, and put a fan beneath it blowing up.
Is there water leaking into the rear seat?
Edit; a similar issue with water leaking into the boot area on the current model Seat Leon (very similar to the Golf, being part of the VW/Audi group) was discussed on seatcupra.net recently.
