Are there any problems with the General Motors wipers?
General Motors also has problems with the pulse board module. I have witnessed several cases where an owner thought the wiper motor was bad, and replaced it, but the pbm had also went kaput at the same time. Most FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts Stores) will stock them in new as well as remanufactured versions.

Why are the wipers not working on my Jeep Wrangler?
The wipers wouldn’t park, but also while on intermittent setting they would cycle randomly…wipe twice, stop for 2 minutes then wipe 10 times and stop for 30 seconds… and just keep doing this with no rhyme or reason. I went ahead and bought a new motor (not rebuilt) and was ready to install it, but then the problem just went away.
Why are the wiper blades not in the down position?
If the wiper blades are not in the down position on the windshield at the moment the Off position is selected, the park switch is closed to battery current through the fused ignition switch output (run-acc) circuit of the front wiper motor.

(This happened on my old car, but caught it too late, and the motor was stuffed by that point!). Happened on my old Escort when the bolt securing the linkage worked loose.
How can I get my wipers back in sync?
You may be able to loosen the motor enough to move the wipers to the proper parked position (without turning the motor shaft) and then put the motor back in place. Then you should be back in sync. Was this answer helpful? General Motors also has problems with the pulse board module.
