Why are the back lights on my Radio not working?
The first post above says I had no lighting behind the control buttons on the AC and the radio. The second post states no back lighting on any of the buttons from the VTM-4 switch to the right. As far as finding the fix, but not the problem, it could have possibly been as simple as a bad fuse.

Adjust the dial or knob to see if that fixes the problem. If the switch was accidentally bumped, your dashboard lights might have been turned off. Flip the switch or turn the dial or knob up and see if the lights on your dash come on or get brighter. If adjusting the switch doesn’t work, you may have a blown fuse or bad lightbulb.

^^^^ Don’t even try that (disconnection at the battery). The correct way to do it as hinted by @atlcarl69 is to simply unbolt the big black battery negative lead from the ‘jump-start post’ over the fuse box near the driver side under the cowl. You never touch the battery, don’t even remove its cover.

More than likely, burnt out bulbs are the culprit. There is a possibility that there is another failure somewhere in the circuit, but it is not as likely as burnt out bulbs. You will need to remove the panel on the dash, and remove the climate control unit, and check the bulbs.
