What does revirse light do on Mercedes ML320?
When i put revirse, rear light is on, voltage is going to camera, camera is sending picture and the same power to my radio witch then know to put down the volume and show te picture from rear. Everything is attatched to revirse light.

I’m trying to install a license plate mounted camera, but not sure if I will have access to the backup light wiring in the lift gate of my ’98 ML. I suppose I could always attach it to switched power, but then the camera would be on all the time whether I’m backing up or not.
