Where is the vent on an oil pump?

Where is the vent on an oil pump?

The feed to the pump will be plumbed to the fitting on the bottom of the oil bag. And the case vent will be plumbed to the other fitting on the top of the oil bag. The larger fitting under the rear motor mount is always the crankcase breather.

Where does the oil line go in a V-twin?

The breather line from the tank goes to the breather fitting (A) on the engine case just above the pump. The oil feed line from the tank goes to the feed fitting on the pump (B) and the return line from the pump (C) goes back to the return line on the tank or if you have a remote oil filter it goes to the “in” fitting on the filter mount.

Where is the threaded hole in the V-twin oil pump?

There is another threaded hole in the crankcases located on the same machined surface of the cases that the oil pump bolts to, this threaded hole is inboard of the pump and hard to see if the pump is already in place.

Where are the oil lines on a bike?

There are only three oil lines needed to make your bike run: the feed from the oil tank to the oil pump which is located on the engine, the return line from the engine to the oil tank, and the breather line from the engine to the oil tank.

How to eliminate primary chain oiler in V-twin?

So here’s the plan. Plug the return and vent holes in the primary cover, use the oil feed fitting on the primary as a vent. Block off the oil feed line on the pump. Run a straight hose from pump to oil tank vent to eliminate the Tee that is currently in place and do something with the oil return fitting at the case.
