Is there a FAQ for the Suzuki GS twins?
Suzuki GS Twins FAQ v1 (03/17/98) compiled by Bruce Brown (91 GS500) Preface: I enjoy my GS500 and the GS Twins list so with Michael Moore’s consent this is an attempt at a FAQ section for the GS Twins. Most of the information for this section is coming directly from the posts to the GS Twins list.
Is the Suzuki 400-450 twins the same model?
Note: most of the specifications for the 400-450 are pretty much the same. I’ve left cells blank where I’m unsure of exact numbers, but if you see a blank cell for a model, and the data to either side are the same, you can assume the info is probably the same for the blank cell.
Is there a problem with my 1983 Suzuki gs750e?
I just bought a 1983 Suzuki GS750E. I rode it home 115 miles with no problems, and then went to start it the following day and got nothing from the key turn. No lights, no gauges, no sounds, nothing. I checked the battery, and the kill and start switches– they passed a continuity test.
Where are the electrical cables on a Suzuki gs750e?
There are two cables: RED goes to one side of the starter solenoid, with a smaller wire coming off the main fuse close by going to everything else. Then there is the black cable which probably is bolted to the chassis near the starter.
Why does my spark plug not work on my bike?
If the plug has oil on it, then it’s oiling up and may not work efficiently, potentially causing a misfire or stuttering under hard acceleration. If it’s just dark or black the bike could be running too rich. A heavy accumulation of carbon on the nose can cause a leakage path to earth. This can cause misfires and poor engine starting.
