Why is my HDi engine cutting out while driving?

I changed the turbo, changed EGR and changed the air doser and whilst the problem seemed to reduce, it remained intermittent. Recently it worsened to stalling and refusing to restart for a while 5-10mins or so. Shows warning light and oil pressure warning on dash.

What did Peugeot dealer say about high pressure pump?

Tow truck to Peugeot dealer again. Peugeot dealer claimed the high pressure pump needed replacing (£1200 reconditioned, £1400 new) and that the diesel was an unusual green colour. I was not convinced. 9) Got the car towed to a diesel specialist who at least could fix the pump if necessary.

The electric windows would not open properly, repeated pushing of the button was required to make windows go up or down. The tailgate would not open at all (my dog had to exit through the back seats!).

I bought my 2005 407 2.0 HDi 136 SW (39k miles, full dealer service history) from a Peugeot dealer last week. It too has the ABS\ESP warning message which the dealer mentioned just before I took it out for a spin.

Is there an ABS / ESP fault in a 407?

So, to the point of my post. I have noticed through a quick scan of this and other forums that abs / esp sensor faults are fairly common in 407’s and even 307’s. By itself this is annoying at best but downright dangerous at worst, especially if the driver of the car has no experience of non abs cars or the use of cadence braking.

How do you replace the clutch on a Peugeot 407?

Using female torx bits, remove the 3 bottom ball joint bolts (the centre one is smaller than the other 2). Remove the nut and bolt at the bottom of the suspension arm behind the brake disc. Spray WD40 down the splines of the driveshaft and using a block of wood to protect the threads, knock the driveshaft backwards out of the hub.
