What to do if your ECU is not communicating?
Had a guy with a confirmed good ecu come out today, still nothing, no communication. Checked fuses, swapped IPDMs with another car. I had power going to the ECU in the connector, one always and 3 when key is on.
Why is my ECM not communicating with my car?
No check engine light not even a bulb check. Fans come on when I turn key to on. Power to ECM through harness, I don’t recall what ports but the ones I was told to check. ECM relay clicks, swapped with known good. Swapped IPDM with known good.
Is there a way to get a code off the ECU?
Basically there is no way to get a code off the ECU. I checked the wiring and it looks solid. Could the be a computer issue? BTW, the SES light is solid no blinking. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks! I believe you have a ’99 Altima, right?

What causes no start with no ECM communication?

Is there a problem with the ECU on my car?
Most require that +12 to operate from the car or even turn on. Good luck.. No problem man, I have a feeling your ECU is ok and if there is any problem at all, it may be the wiring to/from the port which I can elaborate where, the port itself or the scanner unless you’ve rules that out.
