What counts as evidence for DofE?
What evidence do I need to show I have completed a Section? The minimum is a complete Assessor’s Report. This can be handwritten on the form in your Welcome Pack (by your Assessor) and uploaded as a photo, or the Assessor can enter it directly into www.edofe.org/assessor.
Can you go to the gym for DofE physical?
Yes. Some participants may want to use this section to help motivate them to lose weight or simply to get fitter. This would still usually be though a specific activity, but could also be through a mix, for example jogging, gym, tennis and Zumba.
Can I track my Duke of Edinburgh Award?
To help you keep track of your progress we have created activity logs as a personal record of the time you spend on your activities for each section. Remember you must add this information digitally to eDofE along with your evidence, these logs are just to help you keep track.
Can you do DofE on horseback?
Duke of Edinburgh on Horseback This is a great way for experienced horse riders to achieve their bronze, silver or gold award. D of E horseback expeditions are a rewarding, memorable and challenging way to achieve your award in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park.
Can you backdate Duke of Ed?
Once the DofE gives their approval you will be informed of the successful completion of your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Now await your DofE certificate, badge and details of the ‘Achievement Pack’. The system allows you to backdate one section per Award for up to 3 months.
Can you upload videos as DofE evidence?
Examples of evidence you could upload are unlimited, but here are some ideas: A video of you in action (if the content is not clear give it a descriptive title and a date) A video diary of your thoughts on the section. Can you do skateboarding for DofE?
Other preapproved extreme sports you can do for DofE Physical are: BMX, caving, parkour, ice skating, mountain biking, parachuting, skateboarding, skydiving, snow sports, speed skating, and street luge.
Does the Duke of Edinburgh Award look good on a CV?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award is about having a go. A DofE Award also looks good on your CV and can be useful when applying for educational courses and jobs.
Can my teacher be my DofE assessor?
The assessor can be almost anyone, from the football coach who you do your Physical section with, to the neighbour who is teaching you how to cook for your Skill. If you’re doing DofE through your school, your leader will likely be a teacher.
What does it mean by assessors position?
What is an Assessor? Assessors are adults who are knowledgeable and experienced in a participant’s chosen activity. Assessors act as mentors and work with participants for the duration of their activity.
