What mount does a Pentax K1000 have?
Pentax K bayonet mount
The K1000 has a Pentax K bayonet mount, a type introduced with the K Series. Originally it was usually sold with the budget SMC Pentax 50 mm f/2 lens, and it accepts any other manual focus lens with the K mount. This includes the SMC Pentax, SMC Pentax-M and SMC Pentax-A types.
Are Pentax K1000 still made?
Despite its great popularity and longevity of the same basic design, Pentax finally ceased production of the K1000 after more than 20 years in 1997.
What is SMC coating?
“”smc” stands for Super Multi Coating, Pentax’s multi-layer lens coating which does a great job of reducing flare. DA, D FA, and some FA lenses have an improved “ghost less” coating that is even more effective than the original coating.
What’s the difference between the Pentax mz-30 and MZ 7?
The control layout follows the MZ-7 almost completely, the only control missing is the somewhat useless ‘panorama’ mode, which simply masked the top and bottom of the frame. One major difference between the Pentax MZ-30 and the MZ-7 is the lens mount which is a plastic version rather than metal, and is also the cut down ‘crippled KAF’ mount.
Can a Pentax K mount lens be used on a ZX 5N?
Due to the lack of an aperture ring these lenses cannot be used on camera bodies where use of an aperture ring is mandatory (such as LX, ME, MX, K1000), but can be used on e.g. the ZX-5N in Program and Tv mode. These lenses provide full functionality on all recent bodies like the *ist, *ist D series and K (digital) series
What’s the difference between Pentax M and K lenses?
Remarks: smc PENTAX-M and smc PENTAX (commonly know as “K”) lenses are manual focus and have no “A” setting on the aperture ring. These lenses allow for the camera to automatically set shutter speed (if it has the Av auto-exposure mode). You can also set exposure manually if the camera body allows for this.
Is the Pentax zx-30 a good camera?
The ZX-30 is relatively small and lightweight, it’s an easy walk-around camera. The controls are well laid out and easy to use even for someone with large hands. Even though I’ve since moved on to Pro level film bodies and digital slr’s, I find it’s small size and weight perfect for teaching photography to my children.
