A fully charged 12v battery should be about 13.2 volts. On my P700 I get about 14v-14.5v when it’s running and reved up with the volt meter accross the battery. Put the volt meter accross the battery with the bike off, and then take your reading with it running and reved up, there should be a noticable difference.

There are 2 black wires with a yellow stripe and 3 other wires. I took readings moving the Voltmeter leads around i got a reading of 12 twice and a .02 reading once and a 0 reading on 2 different times. THe book says that you should get a total of 39-59.
