You can use even car coolants in ATVs as long it is compatible with Aluminum. But remember for long-lasting performance, it is always better to go with ATV coolants that are specific to your engine type. Ethylene glycol coolant.

yes you can, but make sure you use water without all the chemical crap in it… also i’m not sure where you are at if gets really cold, but if not water with water wetter is supposed to work pretty good too… but for as often as you have to change your coolant, $17 really isnt too bad…

Regular automotive antifreeze will work, you just have to make sure it’s not the cheap stuff and that it’s compatible with aluminum. I’ve always ran 50/50 automotive antifreeze in my Banshee and never had a problem in cold or hot weather.

May as well throw in some new coolant if I’m going to drain it. Any recommendations? I use the red coolant from TOYOTA, diluted with distilled water. it is designed to eliminate corrosion that I normally see when using the green E Glycol.

The two DO react with one another and WILL form acids that WILL cause rapid corrosion and failure of your cooling system, starting with the radiator (and/or heater core in your car). Toyota Anti-freeze works, they use aluminum radiators and components like the raptor, and there antifreeze is safe, and you’ll note this by its redcolor.
Do you have to drain coolant for Trail Tech?
I’m expecting a trail tech from TQS real soon and I know to install the temp sensor I’m gonna have to drain the coolant and hack the hose to put in the T. May as well throw in some new coolant if I’m going to drain it. Any recommendations?
