What is a pink out football game?
Many people show support for women with breast cancer and bring awareness by wearing pink or wearing the pink ribbon that represents breast cancer. The October 8th game’s theme for both Varsity and Junior Varsity was ‘pink out’ in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
What is Pink Out?
Pink Out is one of the largest and best-known fundraisers held in Hutto ISD each year. The fundraiser has evolved into a community effort to raise funds for cancer research and to recognize those that have fought cancer, including students, teachers and community members.
When did pink out start?
In fall 1991, mere months after Irons’ electrifying appearance, the foundation gave out pink ribbons to every participant in its New York City race. This first use of the ribbon, though, was for Komen just a detail in the larger and more important story of the race.
