The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve and hose connect the engine crankcase, where the crankshaft is installed, to the intake manifold, allowing the lower half of the engine to release gases and pressure when the engine is operating.

Take the flat head screw driver and wedge it between the valve and the black box. You should be able to pop it out with ease. The third step is to get out from under your car and look under your hood. The hose to the PCV Valve is located in the middle of the intake mani. Pull this out. Voila!
