What is a good score for MATHCOUNTS chapter?
For this reason, we recommend that students who compete with us should generally be able to score at least 20 points (out of 46) on recent MATHCOUNTS Chapter competitions.
Is MATHCOUNTS easy?
This round is very fast-paced and requires speed and accuracy as well. The earlier problems are usually the easiest problems in the competition, and the later problems can be as hard as some of the Team Round questions. No calculators are allowed during this round.
Is MATHCOUNTS only for middle school?
Who Is Eligible to Participate? Only U.S. students in grades 6-8 are eligible to participate in MATHCOUNTS competitions. Students who are not enrolled in grades 6-8 full-time cannot participate, even if they are taking middle school math classes.
