What happens when you replace the dryer on a Ford Escape?
I just replaced my dryer on a 2010 Escape V6 4×4. Here’s what happens… The compressor is pushing the high pressure into the condenser, then the dryer, to the Expansion Valve. The expansion valve drops the pressure to 35-40? psi just before the condenser, and then back to the compressor.
Is the AC receiver dryer on my Car working?
Average rating from 849 customers who received a AC is not working Inspection. The AC receiver dryer is a component of the AC system that works together in tandem with all of the other components to produce cold air for the vehicle.
Where is the condenser on a Ford Escape?
The condenser inside the dash is where the air is chilled. So, as the video kinda explains, the desiccant material is in the dryer. When it escapes the dryer, the first place it hits is the Expansion valve. The goods news is that it appears to be difficult to get past the valve.
When to replace an A / C receiver drier?
Receiver/driers are used in expansion valve equipped A/C systems. It is the job of the receiver/drier to protect the rest of the A/C system against moisture damage. The desiccant bag can only hold a finite amount of moisture. If too much water gets into the system, the receiver/drier should be replaced.

Why is the a / C not working on my Ford Escape?
I am encountering the ‘expensive’ issue with my 2011 Ford Escape. A/C wasn’t working, gauge pressures measured 400/100psi in about 85F ambient temperature, and the system was at full charge. The fan blowers also seemed to be down for the lower speeds, consistent with the TSB.

Can a Ford Escape be replaced for free?
I personally own an Escape and replaced mine as even with my free labor and hefty parts discount it would still be a expensive job if it failed and destroyed the rest of the A/C system. Just an FYI for all Escape owners in case you already didn’t know.
