What does the gas gauge read on a Chevy Silverado?
The Fuel Gauge is reading only 1/4 full after a fill up and the mileage range is only 110 miles. The Mileage Range begins to read as Low even with the tank still holding over 10 gallons. I recently had the duel filter housing assembly replaced as the truck would not start.

Note that some self-test steps may stop the gas gauge at 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4, as well. Fuel sender test. The fuel sender test should be conducted when the tank is lower than HALF, to prevent fuel splashing. Start by making sure the plug is clean, dry, and free of corrosion.
