What causes Surge in engine when air conditioning is on?
Car air conditioning can cause a surge in the car engine if belt have slipped, the throttle body is faulty, or the idle control valve needs replacing. When you turn on your car’s air conditioning (AC), you just expect the cool air to flow, smoothly and quietly.
Why does my Jeep WK2 surge while driving?
It mainly did it going up hill or at around 40 mph at 1300 rpms. Just like the WK2 guys with the 3.6 engine. They are experiencing something similar with having to adjust the way they drive due to lack if power and not so good tuning. It’s going to surge/buck regardless what you do because of lack of power and tunning.

The only way to get the pulsing to stop is to give the jeep more gas. It sounds to me like its a missfire somewhere along the engine due to the fact that the exhaust is making sounds from the pulsing.

If its running rough from the get go its less likely to be a sensor issue and more likely to be a physical one, if its something that shows up once your warmed up its more likely to be computer or sensor related. I haven’t pulled the fuel rail yet to check injectors.
Why does my Jeep Wrangler have hard start condition?
I did have an issue once before where I changed the fuel pump assembly and the new gasket that came with it was faulty. However, since then, another new pump and gasket have been in the jeep for 3 months and the hard start condition just appeared. I do not have a CEL on.

When you start it up it revs to 2500 rpms and starts to go higher ,it won’t idle down. Vehicle continues to accelerate for a few seconds after letting off gas pedal. Checked the connection at the throttle and the cable/throttle body is not sticking.
