Is there a problem with the ridgeline transmission?
Having problems with the way the transmission shifts. A reputable transmission guy told me it is the shift plates going bad, that the ridgeline transmission is not rebuild-able and that I have to get a brand new one. I also have heard from others that the Ridgeline, pilot and MDX transmissions are known to have issues. Any input?

Why does my Honda Ridgeline have a nitro switch?
The nitro switch is the Vtec kicking in or all four valves coming online. I know that this tranny is different acting than any other vehicle I have ever had. It is a 5 speed automatic that wants to act like a 5 speed stick. It could be that your vehicle is going in and out of over drive.
