Is there a fuse for the AC compressor?
Went to heater control panel, have 12 V at ac switch, (with blower on) and so switch is sending it down the line but where it goes to, I don’t know. Can’t find any fuse or breaker labelled AC. Tried running a separate set of wires directly to ac comp, it kicks in fine, draws 3.2 amps.

Why is my AC fan running but the compressor is not working?
A working AC will provide you with nice and cold air as opposed to bearing the brunt of warm, dry air. With how much the HVAC runs, something is bound to go wrong with its compressor. However, having the fan running but the compressor not working is nothing too dire, so don’t panic.
Why does my AC keep tripping circuit breakers?
Still, there are steps you can take to troubleshoot an air conditioner that keeps tripping a circuit breaker: Replace your air filter – A restriction in airflow caused by a clogged air filter will force your cooling system to struggle, which often leads to overheating and potential breaker trips.
Why is my AC compressor not working but the fan is running?
When the fan is running but the AC compressor isn’t there’s a good chance that electrical power isn’t reaching the outside unit where the compressor is located – and since the inside unit has power, the fan is still operating. First, check the circuit breaker to see if it has tripped or if there’s a blown fuse.
What does it mean when your split AC unit is not working?
With a split AC, the complete unit (outdoor or indoor) cannot merely be replaced on a whim if you have a problem. That is because these two units have been matched with one another. If you returned one of the units recently and your compressor isn’t working, that might indicate that your two units do not match.

If you have an infant or an older family member, it’s also essential for their overall health. So when your AC won’t turn on (especially during the summer), it’s easy to bypass any feelings of serenity and go to straight to panic mode. Don’t fret just yet.
Can a clogged condenser cause a compressor to shut down?
A clogged condenser coil can overheat the compressor. In the best case scenario, the compressor will simply shut down before it is damaged. In the worst case scenario, continuous overheating can damage the compressor so much that it may need to be replaced.
What to do if there is no power to an A / C compressor?
Re: No power to a/c compressor, I have checked the fuses,… The trigger from the dash switch activates the relay which in turn switches on the solenoid pulley to engage the compressor to work. If this circuit is traced the fault of a open circuit can be found out. If there is no power in the fuse or relay then the main wiring must be checked.
When to turn on the a / C compressor in a truck?
Once the pressure is about 300 psi it will tell the engine to turn the fan on. If the a/c pressure continues to rise over about 350 the body controller will log an a/c high pressure fault which will lock out the a/c operation until the next key cycle. Does your fan come on at all?
Why is my a / C not working in my truck?
High pressure sensor could be a likely culprit. The body controller will monitor the a/c system pressure through the high pressure sensor. Once the pressure is about 300 psi it will tell the engine to turn the fan on.
Yes, fuse and relay are fine. I think that year model may have a thermostat around the evaporator. You need to make sure you have power to both sides of that when you have the A/C switched on. wore out, bigguns and baha Thank this.

Where is the AC compressor on a truck?
One usually on driver side around the top of radiator. One on driver side on lines near fan solenoid. And one on passenger side on lines on cab. One is low pressure, one is high pressure, and one is fan control. I can’t remember which is which without looking. Wore out is right about if power is at the switches then probably harness.

What should I do if my air conditioner is not working?
Has no power to compressor has ground, new relay, fuse is good and also has no power to pressure switch, but has power to cycling switch. I have checked all of GM tech bulletins.
