Is the right side of the steering wheel working?
Having similar issues…..RIGHT side of my steering wheel (cruise control side) not working at all, the horn doesn’t work, Air bag light is on, cannot reset my mileage settings…don’t want to have to take this to the dealer anyway to fix it myself? 11 people found this helpful.
When does your car shake with cruise control?
It normally occurs at 35-60 mph but not all the time. The vehicle will also shake when holding a constant speed or with cruise control on. The vibration can be felt in the gas pedal but not the steering wheel. The tires have been changed and wheel has been inspected. It only occurs every now and then.
Is there a clockspring behind the steering wheel?
Unless you have the right tools and knowledge for working around air bags you should not attempt working on it yourself, this is most likely the clockspring behind the steering wheel but it should be diagnosed properly first.
Why does my steering wheel light not turn on?
Sounds like a clock spring failure, it fits behind the steering wheel and makes the connection between the steering column and the steering wheel contact strips. Usually the SRS or air bag light will turn on but not always.

Are there any steering wheel controls that don’t work?
Thought I was going crazy. Horn, radio controls on both sides, instrument cluster buttons, heated steering wheel and voice control don’t work. Oddly enough the cruise controls still work. I’ve brought it to the dealer (should have come here first).
Where does the radio control go on a steering wheel?
The wires that control the radio from the steering go to the Body Control Module (BCM), not directly to the radio. The BCM sends data over the serial bus to the radio. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address. If this is the lights for the switches in the steering wheel, these are LED’s.
