The handling is very good for a softail. The ride is somewhat unusual. The front suspension is very compliant, soaks up the bumps. But the rear is stiff, and I have the shocks cranked to it’s softest setting. The first mods that I would go for is the aircleaner, jet kit (or programming) and pipes.
Can a Springer suxs be used as a dirt bike?
The dirt bike fender setup on the ’88-92 Springers suxs and the fender lowering kit gives it a real custom look. Can’t tell you very much about the repair history on Evos, but the only failure I had with my ’90 FXSTS is the voltage regulator. The Springer front end does require more maintance.
