Is the Arctic Cat z440 a good snowmobile?
If it is a Z440 it is a great machine, only difference from ZR is shocks. Will run forever, light and great gas mileage. I have had one since new and family won’t let me trade it in as too much fun and they all ride ZRs.

All Cats 1997 and earlier run a closed ignition, with the exception of the 1997 ZR 580 that is an open ignition. First you want to see if it an issue in the switches/handlebars or if it is in the primary ignition components: stator, cdi, coils, trigger coil or possibly plugs, plug wires or plug caps.

Click to expand… The ZR440 is a Case Reed. Make around 94 – 96hp. The wife drives 98 ZR440, it is a rocket. Will easily hit 100MPH on the speedo. In Fact if I give her a couple of sled lenghts head start on a race, I can’t pass her till I get to 80Mph.
How many jet in Arctic Cat ZR 440?
The new carbs have 320 in them. Is #1 the main jet and is all that could be different from my carb to the new one is the hex jet that screws in and out? #2 is this the idle jet and/or the prober name? Would this change from sled to sled with the same carb body? and how do I identify what I have?
