The problem is an intermittent open circuit between the starter relay and the starter motor. To correct the problem, Ford has issued a new starter terminal pigtail kit (Part #6U2Z-14S411-NA). What’s the problem with my Ford F 350 6.0?
I came home with my ’04 F 350 6.0, backed into the driveway and shut down for the night. The next morning I went to start it up and it would crank but not start. The batteries seem ok. I have 1/4 fuel indicated on the gauge. Any help would be appreciated… I just introduced myself to the forum and now I have a problem.

What causes a Ford 6.0 diesel to not start?
* I checked the fan wiring harness, I understand that is a common culprit on these trucks, no sign of any damage. Definately worth noting, 2 years ago I replaced the alternator and was given a faulty alternator which over-volted while pulling a boat, voltage increased to 15.5v momentarilly.
