Is CenCal the same as Medi-Cal?
CenCal Health is the Medi-Cal Managed Care Health Plan for Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties for low income residents. Medi-Cal (California’s version of Medicaid), is a publicly-funded health care program for the low income residents.
How do I know if my CenCal is still active?

Does CenCal cover labor and delivery?
CenCal Health Family Planning Benefits You can go to a family planning provider either within or outside of the Health Plan’s provider network. Family planning services include birth control and pregnancy testing and counseling.

How long is newborn covered under Mom’s Medi-Cal?
If you are enrolled in MCAP, your baby has eligibility for coverage in the Medi-Cal Access Infant Program for up to two years, unless your baby is enrolled in employer sponsored insurance or no-cost Medi-Cal or your income no longer qualifies on your infant’s first birthday.
