How to fix Honda Accord Tourer tailgate failure?

With your ignition on open the tailgate using the catch inside then turn off ignition and disconnect the battery for a minute.
What should I do if my tailgate fails?

Where is the power seat on a Honda Accord?
2004 honda accord drivers power seat stuck in the down position. the seat base rear does not go up and down. seat base front goes up and down, seat reclines and goes front to back just fine. I removed the seat and can see motor trying but not moving anything. Thinking the motor is bad?
