How to find the number on a Honda TRX 300?
Scott, try putting something on the areas mentioned to highlight any possible signs of a number, WD40, engine oil.. sometimes black spray paint will show something, spray on and wipe with a cloth or your finger. I bought a high mag magnifying glass, that helped A LOT to find the number on my TRX250. Also, take photos and enlarge them on photoshop.
What kind of engine does a TRX 300 have?
I recently bought a Honda TRX 300 which the previous owner had no idea what year it was and also thought it was a 350 so I am trying to figure out what year it is. I know its a 300 as it has 281cc stamped on the engine but I can’t find any frame number on it.

Is the Honda 300ex a good sport quad?
The 300ex in general is one of the best sport quads ever made. But for the money (a good used one is 1200-2000 bucks) it’s the best you can buy! The suspension is really good and has preload adjustments that are very easy to work. I’m 180lbs naked so with gear I’m around 200 and I ride on the 4/5 se tting.
