What’s the serial number on a Mercedes transfer case?
Following up my original question regarding the Transfer case problem, I learned that this problem was identified by Mercedes as a “Recall and Service ” campaign. The serial number on the transfer case is(NNN) NNN-NNNN The transfer cases involved carry serial numbers between 115925 and 137342. My unit falls in between these numbers.

It is for this exact problem here as well.At first then want to the flush and refill procedure done to where they want the transfer case warmed up,drained then refilled and the vehicle driven in tight circles in both directions then drain the fluid again and refill again. If the problem is gone then the vehicle is o.k.
