Why does my Honda rancher 350 es stop shifting?
I have same machine same issue it will randomly quit shifting when riding I can cut off switch off and cut it back on shifts fine 2000 rancher 350 es any body have any irradiation trying to get this thing ready for my daughter for xmas Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?
Can a manual shift work on a Honda rancher?
The manual shift works though. I’ve had problems with the reverse sensor wire falling off the connector in the past. When I bought the ATV, the rubber boot was missing and the wire was just held on with a metal clip. I used pliers to tighten it on and it has stayed on.
Where is the angle sensor on a Honda rancher?
The angle sensor connector is at the sensor and the shift motor connector runs up on the frame. Just look around in the area the stick was (or could have been) and see if you can find any damage.
How to connect Honda ES Electric Shift Kit?
Connect the 2 shift kit large grey matching plugs inline with it. YOU MUST REMOVE the connector from the frame clip to unplug it. They can be very difficult to unplug clean all dirt away from retainer clip and sealing edges always pull on the plug not the wires.

What to do if your shift sensor wont work?
Thanks TooDeep and Rich, you guys really helped me pinpoint the problem! I pulled off the cover to the shift angle sensor. The angle sensor was cracked in half! I put the pieces back together, put some electrical tape along the outside, and plugged it back in. I tested the shifter before bolting it back in… it worked!
