How many times does a Cummins ISX quit?
It quit 18 times according to computer with fc 187 which is all senors failed. They put a new intake pressure senor on it just to throw a part at it. Guess it my turn to throw parts at it. I was thinking the fuel pressure and cam senor to start with. Any other ideals. This is what cummins is doing.
Is the ISX head gasket good for a truck?
The dealer where I bought it has replaced the coolant overflow bottle, and the complete turbo, and they have supposedly checked the egr cooler, and air compressor, and the head gasket, but they say they are all good. The truck does fine one day with no coolant loss, and then the next it will push coolant out twice in one day.

Why does my Cummins ISX shut down when low on coolant?
Don’t know anything about cummins but with my cats, they are set to shut down if low on coolant or oil pressure. I had an oil pressure sensor go and that is exactly how it would act. Start it up, run for 10 seconds or so (until the ecm recognizes that the oil pressure isn’t coming up I suppose) then shut down. Low on coolant, same thing.

Why does my Cummins mile not stay running?
My cummins ISX 832000 mile will not stay running it will start but then shut down. You can start it rate back up but it will shut down like you turned the key off. New filters & clean all posts on battery. was not having a problem when I parked the truck friday went out today to start it up and now I have this facing me.
Is there an issue with the 187 Cummins?
The only issue with 187 is for sensor supply #2 which includes the cam position sensor, not the engine position sensor. With the loss of the cam sensor the engine will derate, really shouldn’t shut down. With the loss of the cam sensor the ECM relies on the engine position sensor and vise versa.
Why does my Cummins ISX keep leaking fuel?
They will only leak when they are running. After they shut off and the engine is running the main fuel pump will suck fuel past this pump. If the electric pumps leaks out fuel when it is on, then it will allow air to get sucked in once it shuts off.
