How good is Exforge?

Can Exforge cause kidney problems?
In rare cases, Exforge can cause a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, leading to kidney failure. Call your doctor right away if you have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness especially if you also have fever, unusual tiredness, and dark colored urine.
When is the best time of day to take Exforge?
It is best to take this medication at least 4 hours before your bedtime. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.
Is Exforge HCT safe?
This product may cause a loss of too much body water (dehydration) and salt/minerals. Tell your doctor right away if you have any symptoms of dehydration or mineral loss, including: extreme thirst, very dry mouth, muscle cramps/weakness, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, confusion, decreased urination.
What should you not take with Exforge?
These include: medicines used to treat high blood pressure and some other heart conditions including fluid tablets or diuretic medicines, ACE-inhibitors, aliskiren and beta blockers. simvastatin (a medicine used to help lower cholesterol levels), since the dose may have to be reduced when taken with Exforge.
How long does it take for Exforge HCT to work?
It can take up to 2 weeks to see the full effect of Exforge HCT. It is always a good idea to check your blood pressure at home regularly to make sure your medication is working for you. Let your provider know if your blood pressure has not improved after taking Exforge HCT for more than 2 weeks.
Can you eat bananas on blood pressure medication?
But you could end up with too much potassium if you eat a bunch of bananas while taking an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, like lisinopril or captopril. These medications can cause the body to retain excess potassium that would otherwise be flushed out by the kidneys.
Can I stop Exforge?
Stopping your treatment with Exforge may cause your disease to get worse. Do not stop taking your medicine unless your doctor tells you to. Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
How long can you take Exforge?
The dosage can be increased after 1 to 2 weeks of therapy to a maximum of one 10/320 mg tablet once daily as needed to control blood pressure. The majority of the antihypertensive effect is attained within 2 weeks after initiation of therapy or a change in dose. Exforge may be administered with or without food.
Is Exforge good for kidney?
Renal impairment Exforge is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (see section 4.3). No dosage adjustment is required for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. Monitoring of potassium levels and creatinine is advised in moderate renal impairment.
Does Exforge make you sleepy?
